Munising, Alger County Waterfalls
The western gateway to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and home to the
Hiawatha National Forest, Munising is also home to several waterfalls within the immediate area.
Munising Falls, which can be easily reached by foot trail, portrays a cool and shaded cathedral like gorge. The falls are fifty feet high.
Wagner falls and Alger Falls are near the eastern city limits and also easily accessible. Alger Falls can be identified from the highway when entering the city limits, while an enjoyable foot trail leads to picturesque Wagner Falls.
Other nearby falls include Au Train Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, Chapel Falls, Miners Falls, Scott Falls. Horseshoe Falls, Laughing Whitefish Falls, Memorial Falls, Mosquito Falls, Rock River Falls, Sable Falls, Spray Falls, Tannery Falls and Whitefish Falls.
